About the Danville Running & Fitness Club
The Danville Running & Fitness Club was organized in 1987 as a co-sponsored group of Danville Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. At that time there were only 2 local road races. The Club is now directly involved in 14 events and assists in other events. We have fun runs, walks, 5K's, 10K's, ½ marathon, trail runs, high school cross country meets and a predict your time run. When we are not planning or putting on an event we even take time to run or walk ourselves. Thanks to our great volunteers we are able to have a full schedule of events with a small club of around 80 members.
